Charu is the co-founder of MAD, a social enterprise working to connect small local non-profits in need of funding with those who want to get involved. She has worked on projects in Cambodia and Sri Lanka. Her collective work experience with Teach For Malaysia, UNHCR and Muskaan, a non-profit based in India working with marginalised communities, has given her a unique insight into understanding and creating long-term systemic change. She worked with Just Cause on their Ageing Giving Guide for Malaysia in 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Queensland.
