Dr. Fraser Thompson is Director of AlphaBeta, an economic strategy firm based in Singapore and Australia. Fraser is also currently President of AustCham ASEAN, which is the peak representative body, established in January 2017, to represent Australian business interests in Southeast Asia.

Fraser was named an Australian Rhodes Scholar in 2001, and completed a Masters and Doctorate in Economics at Oxford University. After leaving Oxford, Fraser worked at the World Bank, and then at McKinsey & Company for 9 years, beginning in Dubai, and then moving to London and finally Singapore. During this time, Fraser led the McKinsey Global Institute, the economic research arm of McKinsey, in Southeast Asia and globally on sustainability topics.
